I stopped playing after purchasing my fleet carrier "Ikea furnitures carrier". I miss the days where my bodies and I would spend HOURS playing this game.

I regularly fly type-6, didn't like the type-7 box look. This seems right up my alley, fantastic looking ship.

Kewl, so after the pay-to-fly period I figure we'll have the T8 by Christmas. . .

Looks like a Argo Mole from Star citizen. But star citicen has taken some designs from elite as well example the CO Nomad Looks just like a Asp explorer. With these new ships maybe Frontier can give us more space for Modules so we can store more than 200 without having to get T10s to hold all our parts

Cargo containers are probably going to be a thing. I can't think of any other reason to have arms like that on a cargo ship.

I've been playing games for 30 years and never heard of this series.

Maybe I'm crazy, but to me that screams form over function. I don't doubt I could have misunderstood something, but I really don't see how such a shape would make any practical sense for a hauler vessel : the super long front "arms" that gives the ship more footprint for seemingly no reason, the "folding" engines that kind of separate from the main body of the ship for god knows what purpose ... For all my Elite years, I've always "trusted" the ships I was flying around in the sense that I knew they looked the best way they could to fit their niche. It makes sense for a Mamba to have super long front arms as it's a Lambo luxury kind of craft, as much as it makes sense for the Type-7 to be a brick, the Dolphin to be a stylish fish or the Corvette to look like a warship. Not only that, but I'm pretty sure every ship had their interior thought-out in a way that made people outside the Frontier team (like FRj) able to fill every nook and cranny with rooms, hallways, and systems that made perfect logical sense.. Anyways, in the end maybe that's just me, but I really do think we might just be witnessing the complete loss of what made Elite's ship designs "click" in the first place..

Be nice to have had external cargo containers to pick up or connect to in a modular way maybe.

Nicest I have seen so far in Elite.

Take out the 1st person combat on foot and just let us walk around our ships and space stations and we'll all come back.

this will be a useful ship for those trade routes such as where gold is sold from medium landing pad starport and sold at a very low price such as 4500 per ton.

i hate the cockpit its just flat and boring tucked under two useless mandables alot of it just dosnt make sense. it looks cool from the back and sides but the front looks like a cheap krait knock off. im glad they are adding new ships though

It's nice to see any new content, I just wish it was more than new ships. I hope they keep at it.

As cool as it looks and as tempted as I am to start playing again, I don't think that any new ship (except maybe the Imperial Explorer or a big Guardian hybrid ship) will bring me back to the game. It's a shame, because I loved Elite, and have fond memories from both the Horizons and Beyond days of the game. These days it feels like it's just treading water.

In general I'm not against the studio making a buck, as long as the rest of the game doesn't get abandoned. A content update or two would go a long way towards opening my wallet back up.

I finally started playing x4 Foundations and am loving it. i love star citizen but to pay real money for ships is ehh. and in x4 i can mod my game. but yeah mission on x4 is okey i guess could be better.

It's just another hauler though... What's the arms for? The moving thrusters? Why such a massive cockpit with wide view for just a hauler?

I just started X4. I don't think I'm going back to ED for quite some time unless they add something legitimately new. It might just be time for ED to fade and for FDev to start working on the next iteration. With everything learned from this game's lifecycle and bringing in new management they might actually be able to deliver something better.

X4's the only space game I need. I love Star Citizen, but it will likely spend it's life time in beta development.

i have 992 hrs in x4 and many more in the other games and i must say the last dlc that droped is the only thing egosoft made that should not exist it is trash....only good thing about it is the new ship models

I've seen better designed, better looking ships in space engineers, custom, modular, flexible, player made ships.. And with ships interiors!!!!!!

Here is an idea, instead of making new ships how about we make it to where I can walk around the damn ships we already have, or manually load cargo, or the ability to EVA from the ship in space.
